In addition to learning everything they could about the history of New Orleans, they also love traveling, music/theater, fitness, and trying new restaurants!

As big food and culture lovers, they LOVE sharing insider tips for New Orleans! But they will also respect your vacation time and take your cue as to how much interaction you’d like.

The home

Maison Touriste is not just an AirBnB like everyone else. It is also a licensed BnB with the city of New Orleans.

It is what’s called a “shotgun double” although it really isn’t a “shotgun” anymore. Shotgun houses have rooms in a row straight back to the end of the house. Maison Touriste has been converted into a typical style. If you have been inside of a real shotgun house then you know how uncomfortable that can be for guests. This house has hallways and separate rooms for privacy (unlike traditional shot gun houses).

Mark and Angela live in the half to the right (looking at the house from the street) while guests stay in the half to the left.

There are 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms.

Bedroom 1 has a queen sized bed

Bedroom 2 has a queen sized bed and a queen sized futon which can easily be converted to accommodate more.

The den has a queen sized sofa bed.

The home can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.

Our Book

Mark and Angela also just finished writing their first book along with their business partner James Corbyn. The book entitled “Secret New Orleans” highlights some lesser known New Orleans facts. It’s not only a great book of things to discover for the first time visitor but also a great guide for the seasoned New Orleans explorer! To get the book click HERE
